Description
Obed began to realise his other artistic talent during the early 80`s at primary school .He would draw movie stars and pop stars and frequently found himself assisting his teacher with writing and marking of a register book for his class.His teachers encouraged and supported him by giving him other artistic tasks to do.

1984 - Obed`s teacher Mrs Mtshweni [Gamelodi Primary School] adviced Obed to attend art classes at the local Y.M.C.A .These classes were held every Saturday by the late Mohlabane Mashiangwako, coordinated by the late - Jeff Mphakati.Videos about the history of art were part of the tuition and `abstruct art` was popular that time and that made Obed realize how deep the subject of art is. 1985-86 -Art classes were later coordinated by Aura Joubert [TUKS] and Derriek de Bruyn and Obed was introduced to fine pencil work- light & shade excercises.
