Assist is a non-profit organisation based in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The Assist projects were started to assist with change – but true change that is accompanied with action. Comprising of many divisions based on the need in the community, Assist hopes to change the lives of many in need. After taking a step back and looking at the lives of others, we were able to see that it's the smallest actions or deeds, the smile or helping the old lady cross the road, buying a loaf of bread for the homeless person or simply giving a street kid on the street corner your jacket – it's those selfless yet simple actions that can give hope and changes someone's life forever, it's those actions that will not only change a town, but the world!
