Michigan has recently acquired the ownership of BPI Manufacturing, a manufacturing company located in Bothaville, specialising in the manufacturing of high spec agricultural implements. Since 2006 Michigan has established more than 40 dealers throughout the SADC region with its main focus being South Africa.¿¿The company has extended its services to the supply of agricultural implements to customers, across the borders of South Africa and internationally. These customers include local and provincial government. Michigan Equipment has teamed up with Tractor and Farming Equipment (“TAFE”), part of the Amalgamation Group from India, by securing an assembly and distribution rights for TAFE in the SADC region. TAFE has collaboration with AGCO Corporation, headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, which is one of the largest manufacturers, designers, distributors of agricultural equipment in the world. Its products are sold in more than 140 countries around the world. Michigan Equipment has also an approved Barloworld Agricultural Equipment dealer in Mafikeng, which can supply Massey Ferguson and Claas products.
