Situated in Rivierapark Mafikeng, Boga Legaba (fondly named Bogas) was established from an already existing house in 2003. It emerged from 2, to 28 luxury bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and conference facilities that accommodate 16 people.
Solely owned and managed by Mmanong Ntoane, it has grown from being an example of a women empowerment initiative to a fully branded business establishment.
Mmanong was born in the village of Tlokweng in the North West Province, at the end of the Second World War. Being one of the six children, and having parents who had a modest income, an education was a rare commodity. Fortunately her sister was able to sustain her education to Matric level. From then on, she developed her career in public health through the ranks to a full professorship in nursing. It was her extensive travels and passion for art that gave birth to Boga Legaba’s outstanding African art collection.
Inspired by one of Robert Kiwosaki’s ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad Series, “What the Rich Teach their Kids that you can also learn”, Mmanong assessed her resources and vowed that any venture she entered into would be compatible with her passion.
Her art collection was carefully fused into the homely environment and the missing link in the hospitality business was finally found – THE TRUE AFRICAN EXPERIENCE.
