All of the Cape's main attractions are readily accessible from Simon's Town, with the Cape Point Nature Reserve being just 15 minutes by car down the Peninsula. Within walking distance of almost everywhere in the town are some of the safest beaches in the Peninsula, and a wide array of outdoor activities are on offer which include Scuba Diving, Sailing, Hiking, Paragliding, Cycling and Horse riding. The town has a large number of antique and bric-a-brac shops and some very fine restaurants which offer cuisine to suit most tastes. Boulder's Beach is famous for its Jackass Penguin Colony and beautiful, safe swimming amongst the huge rocks which decorate the coastline.
