One of the original stone cottages built in Glencairn, Simon¿s Town for the British Officers of our Navy at the time. It is situated one road away from the beach and a lovely rock pool. Enjoy your breakfast while watching the whales or naval ships in the bay.

Hopkirk Guest Cottage has two bedrooms one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. They both have large built-in oregan pine cupboards. The bathroom has a bath and shower. For the chef of the family, the kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove / oven, microwave and washing machine. For the braai (barbeque) enthusiast a Weber is provided, just bring briquettes. Television viewers have DSTV for their pleasure. Dixie¿s restaurant is across the road so if you do not feel like cooking, an excellent meal awaits you there. Linen and beach towels are supplied. The cottage is serviced weekly when the linen is changed. Glencairn is well situated to visit all the attractions Cape Town has to offer. The penguins at Boulders Beach in Simon¿s Town are a 5 minute drive away. Cape Point is 20 kms away along a scenic drive. Visit Hout Bay along Chapman¿s Peak Drive and see the wonderful Cape sunsets. Constantia and its spectracular Vineyards are 20 kms away. The Gemstone factory is close by and is worth a visit especially for children to visit the ¿Scratch Patch¿ and collect a packet of the semi-precious stones. Simon¿s Town has many attractions and activities such as Kayaking in the bay or doing a boat trip to Seal Island to hopefully see a Great White shark or two. Fish Hoek is just around the corner and has a safe swimming beach where you can relax while the children enjoy the small waves. Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, renowned for their winelands, are an hour¿s drive away and one can enjoy a day of winetasting and excellent meals in the many superb restaurants. Cape Town is an easy 40 min drive away to visit Table Mountain and Robben Island.
