Company description
We are a private nursery and primary school, specializing in your child's individual education. We follow and independent syllabus and offer the following: Beginners & Grade 000: Half hour academic activity per day covering Letter Land (incl. introduction to handwriting), English, Math, & Science. Large & fine motor activities include cut & paste, painting, coloring-in, puzzles, block building, pin-pricking, 'walking' Letter Land, poetry, music, singing, dancing, jungle gym, skipping, cycling, sand, mud & water play, swings, sliding, etc. Grade 00: English, Math, Science, Sight Words, Letter Land, Handwriting, Blends & Sounds, Basic Reading. Large and fine motor activities as above. Grade R: Reading, Writing, Weekly Spelling Tests, Basic Addition & Subtraction, Sight Words, Blends & Sounds. Large and fine motor activities. Grade 1 to 3: English Language, Phonics, Math, Science, Health, Reading, Handwriting. Afrikaans is included from Grade 2. Grade 4 & up: English, Afrikaans, Math, Science, Health, Social Studies (Geog. & Hist.). Gym is included in our fees and takes place every Friday morning. Other activities offered by independent instructors (at a fee) are: Karate, Swimming, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Piano. Annually we have a Family Fun Sports Day where all participating children receive medals. Our year end prize-giving and school play takes place during the last week of school. All children receive a certificate at this function. We take part in the annual Music & Arts Festival as well as the Annual National Olympiad.
