Company description
DuVon Wine Farm and Guesthouse, nestled amongst the vineyards and gardens of the farm Little Italy, is situated 30km from Worcester and 10km from Robertson in the magnificent valley of wine and roses. It is only a two hours¿ drive from Cape Town International Airport. Each unit has two bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. Both units have open-plan kitchens connected to their dinning and lounge areas. The kitchen cabinets provide everything needed to prepare self-catering meals, including a stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave oven and toaster, as well as coffee and tea facilities. These two units are separate from each other and come fully equipped throughout the house, with just one exception: beach towels. The verandas have a garden view that leads to the swimming pool, from where one has an overview of the vineyards and beautiful mountains. Complementary during your stay: Your stay at Duvon will truly be a calm and relaxing experience, away from the hustle of the city life. Enjoy a picnic or braai at the swimming pool, stroll down our vineyard paths or simply enjoy the magnificent view of vineyards and mountains from the veranda while sharing a glass of wine with someone. The name DuVon symbolizes the merging of the two sole co-owners: Armand Hercolaas Du Toit, the winemaker, and his uncle Alex Karl Von Klopmann, a professional engineer and farmer. Alex immigrated to Cape Town in 1990 and joined his nephew at DuVon in loving memory of a family tradition of agriculture and farming. Armand received a passion for winemaking from his parents, Ida and Jacques du Toit, who were fruit and wine growers. He and his uncle Alex restated the cellar at DuVon, which dates back to 1940. Armand began making wine at the age of 19; together, he and Alex will continue to produce excellent wines for years to come, for they share a passion and ambition to keep up the tradition by producing good, noble wine and to do their family proud.
