Company description
The Practice has made a specialisation in the fields of township development particularly for housing. To achieve optimisation in the necessary design areas, the Practice makes use of very sophisticated design software (Autodesk Land Development Desktop and Civil Design) and can operate directly from ground models obtained from either aerial photography or accepted ground survey methods. Projects have been carried out in both the northern and southern hemispheres with a full cognisance being taken of the relevant land surveying standards.
In addition, the Practice has made a point of developing skills in the area of small contractor development and training and in labour-intensive construction methods. Many of the techniques, which are now being applied in these latter fields, were pioneered by this Practice and, in particular, this Practice has carried out one of the largest labour-intensive construction projects even undertaken in South Africa (approximately 200km of secondary water mains in Soweto).
