Description
The company initially concentrated on publishing quality literature and academic titles in English and the indigenous languages for schools, colleges and universities under the BARD imprint. Some of those titles published in the '80s are still active stock items today, and we keep on adding new titles every day!
In 1988 we established the BARD TECHNIQUE GUIDE Series of study guides. These provided, for the first time, assistance to senior high school students with their African language setworks for their final exams. The series has been running for 15 years.

Company description
Under the GALACTIC imprint we established the KIKI series of mathematics workbooks and related resources in the early '90s. These are still going strong today in many schools, having been through some evolutionary changes …
At the same time the GALACTIC POSTER Series was born, and now includes a large number of diverse, stimulating and colourful posters and other resources that have proved their worth in classrooms around the country.
The latest additions include our Nursery Rhyme Poster Series in a range of indigenous languages, and the Road Safety Poster Series.
MANX and MANX Juvenile
MANX and MANX Juvenile are now established imprints, for selected fiction and children's titles in English, Afrikaans and other languages.
The People
The company now consists of a small and happy band of six full-time people and a few part-time workers. When the pressure is on, we make use of the services of some of the best free-lancers in various fields.
Distribution
We rely on the excellent services and goodwill of our country-wide network of booksellers to get around and spread the word about our excellent products to teachers and schools. We try to give them the best possible products and back-up, to make their selling task an easy and pleasurable one. Their feedback is vital to our overall plan for growth.
Our Authors
The mainstay of any publisher has to be the loyalty of its authors. Our mission is to take the products of our authors' dreams and efforts, and to transform and shape these into the best possible product for end users, i.e. readers, teachers, learners and their parents.
