Company description
Our goal is to create a well balanced fun loving environment where your child can learn through play. The multi-age environment is staffed with two caregivers, however the environment is considered the “third caregiver” The centre provides a home-like learning environment, indoors and outdoors. The centre is set up to inspire, nurture and encourage discovery. We believe children are lovers of learning and we create an environment to encourage and support this desire. Activities are divided into inside and outside play, gross and fine motor development, visual and auditive skills, body image, emotional awareness and social skills, while engaging their desire to learn as they explore and discover together. Learning activities, materials and other items are introduced into the play area that focuses the interest of the children. The daily schedule provides a structure that helps the children feel secure and competent.
Each child’s learning experiences are documented through portfolio assessments. The portfolios are available for parents to view. Parent-caregiver” get togethers” are scheduled mid-year or as needed. These “get togethers” provide an opportunity to discuss children’s learning styles and growth. Parent can also express concerns and this can be a time to exchange information to support children’s needs and development.
