The rooms are comfortably furnished with an honesty bar, heater, fan, clock-radio, coffee and tea facilities, and a bathroom with a shower. Each room has a veranda with a table and chairs where the guests can relax, enjoy nature and the animals. De Oude Meul Country Lodge & Game Farm has 42 rooms, of which 4 are family units and 38 are double rooms. The A la Carte Restaurant is on the premises serves only the best local food, including ostrich fillet. Dinner is one of the hallmarks of the Oude Meul. A residence bar and dining room offers grilled ostrich fillet and traditional South African cuisine. Here you may enjoy a four-course meal served with fresh local vegetables. The best local wines are also available. The tables are tastefully decorated with flowers and candles, and with dimmed lights and soft music in the background we create the ideal atmosphere for an enjoyable evening. We also cater for formal and informal dinners and functions. We recently completed a new wedding and conferencing venue able to accommodate up to 300 delegates, under a covered BBQ area. The venue also includes an spacious dance floor, wedding photos can be taken with our tame game. The venue has spectacular views of the farm and the surrounding foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. All standard facilities are available for conferencing: internet services, screens, telephone and faxing services, slide shows and data projector.
