PET Strapping: PET stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and is a high quality plastic resin in Polyester, PET Strapping has a higher tensile strength than PP (Polypropylene) strapping and its characteristics are long life, resistant to ultra violet light and is weatherproof. One of the great advantages is the high elasticity allowing the strap to remain tense even if the package shrinks after being strapped. In numerous applications PET strapping can replace steel strapping and is more cost effective and user friendly.
PET strapping is designed for many different applications, from light and medium duty, to heavy-duty palletizing and unitizing applications, as well as sharp edged packages. It can be applied by hand tools or power strapping equipment. Polyester strapping material yields a higher breaking strengths and retained tension capabilities than polypropylene strapping. It is commonly used for palletized loads, such as bottles and cans, to prevent product shifting during handling and transit as well as corrugated board and stones.
Utilizing Co-Extrusion technology, we supply a superior quality shrink film which has the following benefits:
