Thembe Eco Lodge is situated on a hillside over looking the Kwa-Mazambane Reserve in the Northern most region of the Maputuland Wetlands of KZN. This setting lends itself to the most beautiful view over the valley below and from the chalets you are able to see the third and biggest lake of Kosi Bay.It offers tranquil surroundings but lots to do as we are close to a number of beautiful beaches and forest areas. The self catering chalets are luxurious and well designed and offer all the linen and utensils you may need as well as Air-conditioning, TV, Bathroom with shower, BBQ area and a deck from which the visitor can sit and watch the sun rise over the African Landscape and often listen to the cries of the African Fish Eagle. The rooms are all serviced daily by our competent staff to ensure that your stay is as relaxed as possible. The resort also offers 5 traditional Zulu Huts which are built in the exact manner of the Zulu people. These beautiful ethnic dwellings offer a true touch of African life and are supported by a communal kitchen and 2 ablution blocks which are shared by the Campsites. The entire lodge has a well kept lawn and a range of plants which all compliment the natural feel of the surrounding nature hence the “ECO” in the name. The swimming pool is fenced and offers peace of mind holidaying for families with young children.
