Description

Sensei Jacques Beukes started his karate training at the age of 9. He trained with Sensei Bakkies Loubscher who is the head of the International Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Federation (IOGKF) since 1966. IOGKF is affiliated with Sensei Morio Higoanna from Japan.

Sensei Jacques trained under Sensei Elias Kattan who was affiliated with Sensei Bakkies Loubsher at the time. Later on Sensei Elias Kettan broke away from Sensei Bakkies Lousher and IOGKF.
Sensei Jacques Beukes become the instructor in charge of the West Coast Region for Goju Ryu Karate. After being an instructor of the West Coast for three years Sensei Jacques broke away from (OGKK). Sensei Jacques is now affiliated with the World Karate Federation (WKF), Karate South Africa (KSA) and SASCOC.
The style of Karate he teaches has not changed at all; it is still “old school” traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu karate.
Secondly the word “Bushido” means the code of the samurai (or warrior gentleman) which is a code of 7 virtues that so beautifully sums up the essence of Goju Ryu karate.
