Organizations approaching the Trust will need to meet certain criteria in order to qualify for assistance. As such, we have an important role to play when it comes to the social issues that face South Africa. Throughout the years we have been involved in many different projects in the community. In 1999 Wimpy raised R250 000 for the Star Seaside Fund, and so the Wimpy Charitable Trust was established. This Trust mainly focuses on children in need. The aim is to raise funds and donate meals to charities across South Africa. Various activities are organized to raise funds, and The Wimpy Charitable Trust has already helped hundreds of underprivileged children to experience moments of joy and togetherness. We hope to build on this tradition in the future, and give many more needy children the chance of a better life.
