Company description
Tswalu Grove Safari Lodge offers quality accommodation on a small game farm just minutes from Johannesburg CBD, Alberton, Eikenhof, Meyerton and surrounds.
Set in thatch and stone, the lodge has six chalets, each decorated in their own theme. The Leopard Tree and Baobab are the larger, more spacious of the six, followed by the four units in The African foursome: Zebrangeti, Kalahari, Tusker and Safari.
Sitting on the patio of one of these units, you will witness the interaction of a fallow deer female with her young one. You’ll hear her calling for her little one, see him emerge from the tall grass, running towards her and wagging his tail as he starts suckling.
Hear the call of the jackal at night, the whistle of a springbuck as he warns his herd of the possible danger. An owl hoots and one is awakened by the sound of the guinea fowl, the crow of the rooster.... This is what every guest who visits Tswalu Grove Safari Lodge will experience.
Tswalu Grove Safari Lodge offers the fortunate guest an opportunity to return back to nature, to experience the free-roaming game, hike in nature all without travelling the long distances we are so used to if we wish to get out of the rat-race for a weekend. It really offers the best of both worlds, close enough to the city, yet far enough to make you forget all about it.
For the owners, this lodge should mean a return for each and every guest; a return to nature, to once again hear the heartbeat of Africa, to feel her in the grass under your feet, to hear her in the sound of birdcalls. It is a place of rejuvenation, a place to find your soul again, to experience the luxury of time. Owner operated and managed, their slogan reads: “A truly African experience set in thatch and stone just 15 minutes South of Johannesburg.”
