Company description
African youth will take the lead in: Interfaith, Inter-Racial Dialogue Projects: In this project, young people converge in our communities, universities and social groups to confront racial and tribal animosities, interfaith misunderstanding, stereotypes and fears. Countries such as Somalia, Nigeria, Sudan, Rwanda and Malaysia have been rattled by such tensions. We engage young people through carefully structured dialogue to rebuild mutual trust and mutual respect. We also relentlessly expose and confront those who seek to sow confusion, conflict and disunity amongst the African people. Voluntarism: We are creating opportunities for youth to dole effort so that we keep them from the streets, drugs, crime and prostitution. Our young people do not have experience to their resumes. Voluntarism is an opportunity for youth personal and professional growth. It obliterates indolence of young people who may wait on government, thinking that if they vote all problems are solved. Peer to Peer Discussions: These programmes shall enable young people to discuss common interests, intimate personal problems without fear and shame. OAYouth empowers all continental youth to share solutions to incidences of infidelities that are destroying the family as an important unit of society. These discussions should re-invent the lost morals and lost respect for adults; identity challenges that have become the obscene label of youth today. Campaign for Human Rights and Democracy Education : OAYouth is leading a campaign for Human Rights, leadership and Democracy to be incorporated in academic curricula in Africa. We need to dispel the idea that human rights are a western import. We do so mindful that human rights are important and shape the way that our families and leaders conduct themselves. With this, we create a future leadership that has compassion for the people they serve. We have partnered with Human Rights Education Centre (HREC)
