Amandla Scrap Metals (ASM) Pty Ltd is a level 3 BBBEE company, compliant with health and safety legislation, and governmental policies that regulates the industry. The dual owners of the company, Mr. Warwick Gwilt and Mr. Durian du Plessis, take a decisively hands on approach to running the business. In this way they maintain a healthy balance between the welfare of both customers and staff alike.
Making use of sustainable business practices to minimize its carbon footprint, and impact on the environment, ASM’s operation runs out of an 8000 square meter property with concrete flooring. 3000 square meters of this floor space is undercover in a secure factory.
ASM is 100% self-sustainable as its entire operation runs off of solar power. This reduces the risk of down time and delays to processing.
In line with legislation, 70% of ASM’ material is reinvested back in to the domestic market. The remaining 30% is exported internationally.
Our material is sourced from the mining sector, the industrial sector, informal day traders and cross border, notably Zambia & Swaziland.
