Description
The Africa Heritage Society (”AHS”) is a pan-African, South Africa headquartered Non-Profit Organisation whose principal objective is to put Africa and its various interests at the centre of business strategy. It seeks to understand, shape, document and promote business best practices in the continent. We believe that the history, diversity, and complexity of Africa enjoins all of us to creatively and collectively invest in building a new post colonial brand for the continent informed by the capital, execution and knowledge gaps that still pose a challenge to progress and inclusivity. The AHS Constitution is registered with the Director of Non-Profit Organisations in South Africa in terms of the Non-Profit Organisations Act, 1997. Registration number: 031-076-NPO. The core activities of AHS evolve around providing a platform to connect and promote business, social and cultural activities in Africa, operating through chapters across the continent.

Company description
Recognizing that business schools in Africa do not capture the African story, the AHS through its various initiatives provides a new playing field that enhances the bridging of the knowledge, execution and capital imperfections that inhibit Africa’s trade, investment and growth potential. Simply put, the African story is told, taught and preserved. We live at a time of rapid change, development and progress in Africa and the world. In the African context this commands the attention of both local and world business leaders who seek to invest and be a part of Africa’s transformation. Whether we choose to call it the African Renaissance, the re-awakening of Africa or whatever, the fact of the matter is Africa is awake, and galloping towards modernity and progress in most fields of human endeavour. Increasingly, Africa is reclaiming the roles and functions others have done for her since the inception of colonialism. Africans have excelled in business, the arts, academia, sports, medicine etc, despite the odds against them.
