Acacia Specialty Chemicals is a subsidiary of Rolfes Holdings Limited. Rolfes, a listed company and a well-established name in South Africa and internationally. The divisions of Rolfes serve various players in the chemical industry in Southern Africa. Rolfes Colour Pigments International is active in resins, organic and inorganic pigments. Rolfes Chemicals sells solvents, lacquer thinners, surfactants, cleaning solvents, creosotes and waxes. The agri-chemicals division manufactures and distributes products including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, adjuvants, foliar feeds, soluble fertilisers, and enriched compost pellets. Rolfes Silica mines and beneficiates various grades of silica primarily for the metallurgical, water filtration, fertiliser and construction industries. Acacia Speciality Chemicals was founded in June 2009 and has grown significantly in the past years. The financial and logistical support of Rolfes enabled Acacia to accelerate its growth strategy.
