Company description
Our thatched country home offers four double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a cottage with two double bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. We are ideally suited for small tour groups visiting the Drakensberg and the Midlands Meander. All rooms have tea and coffee-making facilities, heaters, TV and a hair drier. Other services offered include laundry, telephone, fax, email and computer. Number 7: This bedroom has superb views across the valley and Lions River, to pastures beyond. This is the 7th bedroom built at Pleasant Places. John and Linda lived at no.7 in Johannesburg and their original street number is on the door. The Room with a View: It has a magnificent view of our pastures, trout dam, the Lions River and neighbouring farms. The Rose Room: Formerly the Tartan Room, which has recently had a complete make-over. An exceptionally quiet room, with a window onto the garden ... close enough to the main house to get a whiff of bacon cooking in the morning! The Camelia Room: Named after the beautiful Camelia bushes outside the entrance. It has large bay windows at which one can sit, relax and enjoy the beauty of the garden. The Family Unit: Two bedroomed unit; one bathroom has a shower, the other has a shower and bath. The unit overlooks the rambling gardens below the main house. The Family Unit does not have self-catering facilities. Hearty farm breakfasts are served in the dining room or garden, weather permitting. Wholesome dinners are available by prior arrangement and light lunches can be arranged. We have a liquor licence and keep a limited range of refreshments; please advise beforehand if you have any particular requirements.
