Description
BETON-SEAL SUPER-K is a non-toxic economical multi-purpose chemical compound which is easily applied to new or existing concrete and masonry structures to provide a permanent waterproof barrier, case-harden and strengthen the matrix, prevent dusting, minimise surface wear and reduce attack by certain chemicals. It is highly recommended for poorly hydrated cement-based surfaces, such as concrete floors that are either “soft” and/or dusting.

Company description
BETON-SEAL SUPER-K is specially formulated to penetrate deep into untreated and uncoated concrete and renders, where it reacts with the calcium salts of the hydrated cement, in the presence of moisture, to form a gel that crystallises to seal the cracks, pores and capillaries of the matrix. The by-products of this chemical reaction are permanently bound into the matrix and are irreversible, providing a case-hardened and waterproofed surface to a depth of several millimetres. BETON-SEAL SUPER-K will effectively seal non-movement cracks of up to 2mm wide, provided that there has not been contamination of the concrete inside the crack.
It has been successfully used on well over two million m2 of concrete surfaces since 1988.
The performance of BETON-SEAL SUPER-K has been aptly demonstrated both locally and overseas through many field applications and laboratory tests. The Portland Cement Institute* in South Africa has carried out several tests with BETON-SEAL SUPER-K, since 1988, which proved its efficacy as a waterproofing compound and surface hardener.
* Now “The Cement and Concrete Institute”.
