Andries Lodder is a graduate of BSc Physiology and Human Movement Sciences/Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and postgraduate of BSc Biokinetics (sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation) from the University of Stellenbosch.
Career highlights include:
assisting in fitness testing of African referees in qualifying for football officiating at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
a Physical Fitness Instructors' Course in Cairo, Egypt, in 2008 through SAFA and CAF
assisted the the Physical Fitness trainer for Pirates Rugby Club during the 2009 season
conditioning for athletes representing South Africa at World Champs for Junior Road Cycling as well as BMX racing
Apart from practicing as a Biokineticist, Andries lectures at the "Health and Fitness Professionals Academy" (HFPA), training students for their National Diploma in Exercise Science (Year 2) and Pre/Post Natal Course, as well as at "The Institute for Fitness Professionals" (IFP) on Anatomy and Sport Injuries.
Andries' main interest lies in sport and orthopaedic rehabilitation, sport specific testing (VO2max and Lactate Testing) and conditioning, specifically for cyclists, runners, tri-athletes, multi-stage event athletes, golfers and rugby and soccer players.
