Whether you just want some advice, gas for your braai skottel, need to kit out your kitchen with the latest gas stove and heater or anything in between, your local Gas Mart is there for you.
One sunny afternoon in 2004 Bruce Wilson turned on his braai at home just to realise he had run out of gas… After visiting every garage and hardware store in a 10km radius without luck, he eventually found a supplier 25km from his house.
This lack of supply to an apparent large demand did not make sense, especially after quick research showed that he was not alone in his frustration.
Thus the first Gas Mart shop was opened in Midrand, with a very specific focus on delivering Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) to people’s homes with friendly and efficient service at affordable prices. Soon the thriving small business attracted the interest of other entrepreneurs and evolved into a franchise.
Today Gas Mart operates 28 outlets in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and North West and is set to take off at rate! We aim to open in excess of 350 stores throughout South and Southern Africa within the next few years, focusing from affluent suburbia through towns and villages to rural and traditional townships where we’ll address the urgent need for a safe, cost effective alternative to electricity and paraffin.
