Safety:
As Safety Officer we will be carrying out a variety of duties on behalf of the company, on a weekly, monthly and ongoing basis.
On a weekly basis we will:
Visit nominated sites where employees are active in service of the company. In this context Head office is excluded as a site.
Submit to the 16.2 Assignee a written report of every visit to each site visited.
Any immediate and present dangers encountered during an inspection will be acted upon instantly, and will also be phoned through to the responsible manager immediately if he is not on site.
Correspond / Visit / Consult / Meet with external agencies such as Clients, Clients Safety Officers, Dept. of Labour Officials, or any other persons who need to be dealt with in the course of the requirements of the OSH Act.
Produce reports and other documentation as and when necessary.
Submit a written report to the MD regarding any perceived threats to himself and the company in terms of the OSH Act, as and when such threats are detected.
Install, maintain and drive a complete internal Safety System in the company, which will make the company compliant with the requirements of the OSH Act.
Devising and implementing a company Safety Policy; Meeting with staff to introduce the company Safety Policy; Dealing with any queries regarding the company Safety Policy; Setting up the company Safety Committee; Overseeing the functioning and effectiveness of the company Safety; Committee; Reporting to Senior Management on the activities of the company; Safety Committee; Keep Senior Management updated of any threat or potential threat, which may pose a danger to Management or the Company.
