Scandinavian Trade Centre (STC) has commenced business in the promotion of business and trade between Scandinavia with South Africa. Based on personal experience from start-up situations in South Africa the founders Per Bjorvig and Gareth Pollit realise the potential difficulties and special challenges faced by SME’s entering Africa for the first time Per Bjorvig has represented Denmark as Honorary Danish consul for many years and has assisted countless organisations in that time with advise and help. STC aims to reduce and minimise those challenges and provide that local missing link between theory and practice when individual companies seek to promote business entry into the African market. The approach is very much hands on until such time as the Client is able to support his own activities in the region.
STC business model looks at three distinct categories:
1. High Level Focus on specific industry sectors.
2. Detailed analysis of business needs and opportunities.
3. Practical on the ground help in establishing a local presence.
In essence STC concentrate on those business aspects that will assist SME’s to make their first footsteps into Africa as painless and as economic as possible.
