Janet paints using more than one photograph and can create a composition of multiple portraits sized like "The Kings Men" which is of The Mthembu men around the Zulu King in Traditional Dress or "Pearl's Family" of Pearl and her husband with all their pets, 2 Great Danes, a cat and 2 small dogs in a composition.
Portraits for prayers and funerals are painted to depict the deceased looking almost alive and 3D where they are smiling, looking full of love and life and wearing their favourite jewellery or garments. It is a privilege to paint a portrait of the deceased as it gives me joy to depict the loved one looking alive and happy as I know it brings closure and healing to those left behind.
