Description
A spacious, four bedroom guesthouse on the farm Wolwefontein, situated 30km outside Colesberg on the N9 between Colesberg and Noupoort. It is a quiet, scenic stopover for those travelling toward Port Elizabeth and the Garden Route. A drive to the farm is almost like envisioning an oasis, a great contrast to the stark beauty of the Karoo, as lovely green lands and a forest of Poplar trees lie just below the guesthouse. Your hostess, Judy Rous, runs the guesthouse, prepares and serves all the meals and believe in spending time with her guests. Listen to her tales of Wolwefontein''s rich history and about life on the magical farm. Relax in the solidarity of the vast serene space at the lodge and be in peace with the abundant wilderness and animal life.At Wolwefontein, there is always heaps of fun stuff for children to do. Most of the year, there are little orphan lambs to feed, sometimes there may be even a baby buck. From August, the mares will have their foals running and playing nearby

Company description
Relax in the four large and spacious bedrooms, each having its own bathroom en suite or with a private bathroom to wash away the tension of your day. All rooms promise comfortable beds with crisp sheets for a restful night. There are two bedrooms that accommodate families of four each, a bedroom for two and a cosy bedroom with a fireplace that sleeps three. Warm meals are served in the guesthouse dining room.Breakfast is a full English breakfast comprising of cereal, yoghurt, fruit when available, bacon and eggs. Dinners are served by prior arrangement and are mostly a two course meal consisting of a ¿home-grown¿ meat dish (mutton, beef or chicken), vegetables, salad and then a dessert. If there is ever time to spare, there is a TV in the lounge with SABC TV channels, E-TV and BOP. You can enjoy the braai facilities under the star covered sky or take a cool dip and swim in the reservoir near the stables. The reservoir is refilled daily by the windmill nearby as it fills all the animals water troughs so the water is clean and very chilly! In the winter, it is very cold and you might be lucky to experience snow! So if you want to build a snowman, July is the time to come. This is the time when you snuggle up near the fire with a mug of Hot Chocolate and a good book. There is undercover parking for your vehicle. Two cots are available for guests with babies or toddlers, free of charge.
