About 1 ¾ hours drive from Cape Town and 10 km before Citrusdal village, Nuwedam Farm is situated on top of the Olifants River Mountains. The farm is a working pomegranate, soft fruit, citrus and Rooibos farm with beautiful views over Sandstone Mountains which are covered in natural fynbos. Views from the farm to the Western side are over the Swartland Escarpment and on the eastern side of the valley the Cederberg Mountains seems weightless in the haze. The beautiful village of Citrusdal with its green golf course, tennis courts, restaurants and coffee shops invites you to experience this lovely farm village or enjoy scenic drives into the heart of the Cederberg Range, West Coast or Koue Bokkeveld.

The cottage offers panoramic views over a farm dam and Sandstone Mountains. The cottage has two en suite rooms each with airconditioning and double beds and 1 single bed ¿ fitted with cotton percale bedding. The one bathroom has a shower and the other en suite room has a bath. An open plan kitchen with inside braai area and living room has reed and pole ceilings and deep leather sofas for your afternoon siestas which are arranged near the fireplace, and a central fireplace which goes well with a glass of red wine. The living room has fire place with a TV (channels 1, 2, 3 and etv) and a dish ¿ just bring your own decoder for satellite needs. The living rooms leads through double doors onto a terrace where you can braai or enjoy the hammocks for your afternoon siesta. The lanterns compliment the relaxed atmosphere of the cottage. From the terrace the steps leads onto big grass area for your picnic needs with a wooden deck in dam to allow you to plunge straight into the farm dam or take the canoe for a paddle on the dam. You can also drive 5 km further one the tar road where there is a lovely braai area with views over whole Swartland escarpment - perfect for sundowners. Coffee and tea is provided in the cottage. For your breakfast needs there is the lovely ¿Kardoesie¿ coffee shop which is only 1,5km from the cottage and for dinner we recommend ¿Die Sitrus¿ Steak House which is situated back in Citrusdal. An abundance of early morning animal life awaits you especially on the hiking trail (Duiker, porcupine, hares, baboon, tortoise, dassie,). Black Eagles, Secretary birds, Heron, and an early morning passage by Egyptian geese are spotted infront of the farm dam occasionally. At the back of the cottage the Pomegranate orchards give a feeling of nature and experiencing farm life. The cottage is independent and private, the perfect getaway from city life.
