We also recently started doing tours throughout the country travelling through the game-reserve-filled Eastern Cape, the green undulating hills of KwaZulu Natal, the gold mines of Gauteng or the natural beauty of Mpumalanga. About Western Cape Tours
Western Cape Tours was born out of a desire to let others experience the beauty and splendor that Cape Town, the Western Cape and the rest of South Africa has to offer.
Allan Theron is a registered tourist guide (WC 1228) with the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism for the following provinces: Western Cape and Garden Route, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Gauteng and Mpumalanga.
Allan has been in the tourism industry since 2000, serving hundreds of visitors to South Africa, whether it’s for a one day tour down the Cape Peninsula or a 21 day tour around South Africa on motorcycles.
Since August 2008, he has been directly involved with international and local clients and has a good understanding of how the tourism industry works and assessing clients’ requirements.
Allan has worked for a number of companies over the years as a freelance tourist guide, chauffeur and chaperone and also has four years experience in the car rental industry.
What we specialise in
The main tours Allan specialises in are in the Western Cape area: Cape Town, Cape Peninsula, the Cape winelands, the R62 winelands, Hermanus and the Garden Route during which time he has gained extensive knowledge about the area and the activities available.
The chauffeur work involved everything from driving executives on their roadshows, to driving a left hand drive 8 metre long limousine for weddings, matric dances, promotions and competitions. He still works in the movie industry as a chaperone looking after actors, actresses, directors, producers and agency staff, as well as liasing between the production house and the client.
Two of the most recent movies he has worked on are ‘Invictus’ and ‘Safehouse’ (released January 2012) where he looked after well known Swedish actor Fares Fares.
