Description
The ethos of the school is Bible based and Christ-centred. We understand that our teachers are role models and for that reason they must be practicing Christians who have a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
The children at the school are not all Christian, but a requirement is that one of the parents must be a born-again Christian. This is to maintain a partnership where home and school are in agreement.

We recognize that our school is primarily an academic institution, and that the teachers are assisting the parents in their role as educators, not replacing them. Not only are academic achievements important, but spiritual growth and character development as well. We do not create a distinct line between 'sacred' and 'secular', but realise that God created all things and that nothing can be fully known without knowing the Creator first. We try our utmost to avoid creating a mindset where God is kept separate from the study of His creation.

Company description
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22 verse 6
At John Wycliffe we have a discipline policy which clearly defines the boundaries within which the pupils are allowed to enjoy their freedom. Pupils understand the behaviour, appearance and academic performance expected.
We partner with parents to maintain discipline for the benefit of pupils and the school as a whole. Parents and prospective applicants sign a commitment to abide by the code of conduct of the school before they are enrolled.
Fees are payable in 12 equal instalments on or before the first day of each month.
We use the Western Cape Education Department curriculum but have the freedom to modify the guidelines to bring it in line with the aims and objectives of the school. The grade 12 examination is administered by the Western Cape Education Department. We integrate biblical principles into the content and objectives of the subjects.
