Made from ultra lightweight fibres, the FiremanBrand Blanket is free of fibreglass and asbestos.
The FiremanBrand Blanket is used in the mining industry to protect rubber belts and other heat-sensitive equipment from heat, welding splatter, grinding sparks, etc.
It is available in any length, with a width of 2 meters. We have an in-house facility for hemming and eyeletting and can make up any size needed.
We can also make-up the blanket fabric into covers for IBC containers, petrol pumps, etc.

Sapphire Flame Retardant is a remarkable SABS and NBRI tested flame retardant product for use on many materials. This locally manufacture product has the stamp of approval of the NBRI and the South African Navy.
It is effective not only on natural fibres (cotton, wool, etc) but also on most synthetic materials (including acetate, acrylic and polyester fibres) and blended fabrics. It imparts excellent flame retardancy to these materials and reduces afterglow to a minimum. It can be applied to fabrics and many other materials, by spraying or by dipping. Sapphire Flame Retardant is a colourless, odourless and non-toxic liquid. Flammability of all materials tested was reduced via treatment by Sapphire Flame Retardant. Treated cotton and similar materials do not burn when treated. Synthetic textiles melt away from the flame.
