Company description
Rose Lodge is located at 28 Rose Street in the colourful historic Malay Quarter of Cape Town (Bo-Kaap) just below Signal Hill and the Noon Day Gun ... an authentic canon fired every day at midday! It is one of the oldest residential areas in the city. This is where slaves brought mainly from Java in the 17th and 18th century settled. The area has its own unique old world charm. Whether on business or pleasure, it's an ideal location from which to explore the city. Bo-Kaap with its cobbled streets and houses painted in a myriad of rainbow colours is on your doorstep. We are a mere 5 minute walk to the downtown area, museums, shops and Green Market Square full of African artefacts and souvenirs. The fashionable and trendy De Waterkant Village is also just around the corner with its boutiques, restaurants, and nightlife. And Cape Town's International Convention Centre and world famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront are also within walking distance or a short ride away.
