Joint Fabrication and Design is a small, local business selling handcrafted furniture. Joint Fabrication was established in 2001 in San Francisco, California and is now based in Fish Eagle Industrial Park, Kommetjie, Cape Town, South Africa. All kitchens and furniture are designed and built by artisan and owner, Gareth Brown. Gareth has over 20 years of experience in design and construction and has worked with a great variety of materials. He has worked in the building industry on the east and west coast's of the United States as well as in Cape Town for the past 10 years. His extensive knowledge in wood work, practised hand, and critical eye lend to a level of detail rarely seen in furniture construction today. His creative approach to design and building gurantees not only a functional and aesthetically pleasing product, but a piece that will evoke love and fascination. Something to be cherished over time. Materials used include, but are not limited to, wood, metal, stone, glass, plastic and various recycled materials.
