Description
We provide a mathematics tutorial service.

Each child is given a monthly charge wherein they are to attend either 8 or 4 lessons a month (depending on their package)

Our advantage is that our lessons are individually based. A ratio of pupils to tutors is 3:1. This small group method has the effect of making the pupils feel more at ease as they are not singled out; the numbers are small, manageable and no child is left behind. Having this ratio helps lower costs, so each child’s fees do not have to factor in tutors hourly rate.

Maths work is preset to meet the individual pupil’s needs and special support is given to each student. Many schools recommend us to parents if the child is struggling at school.

ABOUT US
SUM-IT-UP EDUCATION is a unique Mathematics Tutoring Centre built on traditional teaching methods.
We tutor from grades 1 to 12.
Our Ration is 3:1 - each learner is joined by two other learners, at a table with a tutor.
Our Tutors are young and vibey, extremely knowledgeable and undergo intensive training.
We cover the IEB and GED school syllabus.
We have various package options to suit all needs.
We offer convenient and flexible times.
SUM-IT-UP MATHS offers affordable and personalised lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs.
LOCATION
SUM-IT-UP EDUCATION has two branches: Bryanston, Johannesburg in the Fourways area and Linksfield in the Bedfordview area.
Both branches are located in convenient strip malls. Parents can either drop off and go or enjoy a cup of coffee or catch up on shopping while waiting for their children. Our Tuition centres are on the upper level way from the buzz of the centre.
We are central to all the school we cater to, visible and direct.
What we do:
SUM-IT-UP MATHS thrives on building confidence in our learners. We feel that confidence and mind set are key factors in applying the concepts of Maths. With practise, accomplishment and praising our learners become motivated and begin to enjoy the challenges of the subject.
Before major exams we ask learners to come in over and above their two hours allocated for the week for free mock exams. The purpose of our mock exams is to help learners cope under exam pressure, and to help them recognise mark allocation. Unfortunately, for some learners knowing their work during lessons is one thing but working under exam pressure is another.
Our 3:1 Ratio, helps our learners feel more at ease as they are not singled out; the numbers are small and manageable, and no learner is left behind.
We strictly follow the school syllabus. Work is pre-set to meet the individual learner’s needs.
