Industry Insight (Pty) Ltd was established in 2001 in partnership with Databuild, a company with more than 30 years experience in providing project lead information to the construction industry. In April 2004, E C Snyman (founder of Industry Insight in 2001) purchased 100% of the shareholding. In March 2006 the company was converted to a closed corporation. Industry Insight is one of only a few companies in the country that provides primary management information services to stakeholders in the South African construction industry. Apart from utilizing official key indicators, Industry Insight has developed a unique time-series database of projects, in association with Databuild, used in conjunction with other official building statistics, to monitor construction activity in the country.

Building / Civil Tender indices
The tender indices are updated monthly indicating activity within the building and civil sectors. Indices are available for each province.
Investment Map
The Investment Map on-line mapping tool was launched in October 2007. This tool enables users to monitor construction activity on a spatial platform and are able to draw maps based on their own unique geographical requirements. The mapping tool allows a drill down to town level and is updated on a monthly basis.

Need anything else? As a subscribing client, additional reports are provided at a 30% discount. However, additional costs will only apply if clients request further analysis, calculated on the basis of a cost per hour for man hours used. Statistics and news briefings are provided free of charge.
Construction in Business Seminaar
Twice a year, Industry Insight is host to a "Construction in Business Seminaar" in Sandton, primarily to provide an information and networking platform for our clients. Topics vary pending issues in the construction industry. Subscribing clients are welcome to request special topics they feel need more attention.
