Nestled between the Kogelberg Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, the lodge lies between two fresh water lakes which are part of the Grootwitvlei Bird Sanctuary. This is a bird lover’s paradise with weavers and sunbirds making a colourful display.

Only an hour’s drive from Cape Town, Betty’s Bay is a picturesque seaside village situated along the scenic Clarence Drive Route between Pringle Bay and Kleinmond.
The town falls within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, the smallest but richest in variety of the six floral kingdoms in the world. At the HAROLD PORTER BOTANICAL GARDENS IN BETTY’S BAY, one can view some of 7700 plant species found in FYNBOS. This includes restios, ericas and proteas. Cactus Lodge was aptly named after the huge variety of succulents which flourish in the area.
