Active Hire & Sales is a company with a solid background in the hire and sales of large earthmoving equipment. It was founded by Henry Van Der Walt in 1991, and he is still the sole owner, we are currently a Level 3 BEE and we are a member of the CPHA.In 2003 we started selling used earth moving machines, we have a large variety of machines for sale. Prices vary according to make, model and age.
We also sell new and used parts, including engine spares, diff. spares, hydraulic spares, cylinders, swing booms/booms, transmissions as well as service parts.
We recondition and refurbish all earthmoving equipment.
We do not turn any job away from 1 day to indefinate periods subject to availability and if we don't have the plant available we will endeavour to make alternate arrangements. We have successfully completed hire contracts in excess of a R100 000 000 in value.

All our operational staff have medicals done by an Occupational Health Practitioner yearly, included is a 5 panel drug test. Competency of employees is done every 2 years and a certificate issued if found competent.Many of our employees have done a first aid course and a basic fire fighter course, many of our supervisors are qualified SHE Reps as well.
We have qualified mechanics and a auto electrician who are available 24 hours, if 10 machines or more are hired a mechanic will be made available full time on site, we also have a service vehicle which goes out to sites to service the machines, making sure the plant and trucks services are up to date. Our breakdown phone is manned 24 hours a day if any problems should arise with any of our plant.
