Avoca River Cabins accommodation in Eastern Cape, Addo, Self catering accommodation. Dave & Judy welcome you to their farm. Situated amongst the roses in the valley known for elephants! Avoca River Cabins is in tranquil surroundings along the Sundays River in the Eastern Cape in South Africa. This is a working Citrus Farm with self-catering accommodation. The closest city is Port Elizabeth. The villages of Addo and Kirkwood allow our guests the opportunity to do shopping for groceries. The Addo Elephant National Park is a short drive from the farm. A well known Private Game Reserve receives our guests for Game Drives. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity and others in Kirkwood. The self catering accommodation is in the well known Tree House, Ethnic Mud Huts, in the Wood Cabins and in the Luxury Chalets. The Mud huts sleep 2 people while the Wood Cabins can sleep 4 people. The Chalets can sleep from two to six people. Avoca has the opportunity to provide accommodation for Back Packers and for people who are on holiday or the person looking for a one night stop. The accommodation is comfortable. We regularly have bookings for people who want self catering options or Bed and Breakfast. Both supper and breakfast are available if arranged in advance at extra cost. Our guests enjoy the opportunity to pick oranges in season and to smell the orange blossoms in “spring”. Children can enjoy facilities that include a swimming pool, trampoline, jungle gym and the canoes. Bring your mountain bike along and ride on farm roads. Early in October of each year the Addo Rose Festival is held in the village of Addo! It is quite easy to find us. When traveling on the N2 from Port Elizabeth towards Grahamstown take the R335 through Addo and then follow the R336 towards Kirkwood for 12.5km. We are in Summerville off the R336. The accommodation is signposted.
