Description
Aberdeen Books and Crafts is the only bookshop for miles around in our part of the Karoo semi-desert, South Africa. We try to be as welcoming as possible as we cater for many tourists passing through the town, and we also cater for numerous outlying farms and their families. We try to carry as wide a stock as we can. We have a dedicated Children's Corner and a comfortable reading room. Our craft supplies side caters for scrapbooking and cardmaking enthusiasts, and we give free lessons in our dedicated craft workshop. We also give private lessons in Mathematics, Maths Literacy, and computer literacy. We have a local craft market and booksale at our premises about once a quarter. These are always well attended, and are as much a social event as anything else. ABC also stages charity poetry and music soirees, in Aberdeen, which are usually sold out. If you are in the area, do drop in, have a look at us, and have a cup of coffee with us !
